The title of the album “Alcheamici” is a blended word, formed from the words “alchemy” and “amici”, the latter meaning “friends” in Italian. Alchemy represents the art and discipline of transmuting, transforming, and evolving different ideas into a common sound. Friendship represents the art and discipline of having wellbeing as a group, in music and in life.

“Alcheamici” was created by a group of six individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, while having a common purpose of free musical improvisation. Different styles and timbres, emanating from different personalities and instruments, meet and blend into a unified expression. Distinct ideas merge in a graceful, creative flow, forming a common and unique language. Free improvisation becomes spiritual freedom, the true essence of Alchemical Playgrounds.
