The imaginary word “Tonono” derives from “tuo nonno” or “tvoj nono”, i.e. “your grandfather" in Italian or in the Littoral dialect of Slovenia, respectively.

In this nostalgic fantasy we express some confused emotions about the abused, exploited and broken worlds of our grandparents. The doom feelings of sadness and anger are mixed with a sense of wonder about the perversely twisted reality we live in. We’d like to devote this album to all refugees.
